Re: Question about #21 and NXT 2.0
Tim,
Hey thanks for the info! I was doing a search and found some information on the two of these products as well. What are some of the other differences? I guess I was wondering also is the protection the same (I know that is a subjective question) So I take it the nxt 2.0 is still the better product (most durable, according to meguiars) I thought I would just use the M21 and follow it up with #26. I take it that this would be a good combination or would doing #26 and following it up with NXT 2.0 be better.
Thanks
Kris

Re: Question about #21 and NXT 2.0
Hi Kris,
Officially, NXT 2.0 is Meguiar's best protecting product. I tested the beta version before it was released and was very impressed with the new version. I have always loved #21 but I think either one will work extremely well for most people.
Finally, I would suggest 2 coats of either NXT 2.0 or the #21. Both of these products create a deep rich gloss. In my opinion, I do not see any advantage in topping it with another product. Just so you know, I had for close to 20 years topped #20 with #26 as my all time favorite combo. But with the #21 and the NXT 2.0, they give the best of both worlds on their own.

Re: Question about #21 and NXT 2.0
I disagree about topping with 26. I've done both ways many times M21 x 2 and M21 + M26. Without a doubt topping it with 26 makes my black much wetter and deeper. Even my wife can tell the difference and she really couldn't care less...but still notices.

What you should always keep in mind is that two thin coats of wax is better than one.

Re: Question about #21 and NXT 2.0
Would #21 2.0 protect just as much as #26 (two coats of both obviously)? If I did #21 2.0 what would you top it with? Another coat of #21 2.0 just like 2hotford stated or #21 2.0 then a coat of NXT 2.0
Thanks for the input guys and hey 2hotford you can chime in as well

However, before #21 came out to the public I was able to test the product on many different colors. I discovered that the #21 had the gloss and durability of #20 with the deep richness of #26. In essence, it was the best of both worlds! With 2 coats to provide uniform coverage and protection, I rarely needed any other products as it looked awesome!
In the end, it comes down to what looks best in your eyes. For on blacks, I usually do 2 coats of #21, or 2 of NXT 2.0 or 1 of #21 topped with Gold Class. For black metallic, I stick with 2 coats of M21 or 2 of NXT 2.0. If the owner wants more gloss instead of the darkening effect, I may use #20 topped with #16 or 2 coats of #16. If the car has a black lacquer paint job, I may then use M07, followed by 2 coats of either Gold Class or M26. If the car has a single stage paint instead of the BC/CC paint...you get the idea.
As you can see those are just some of the factors that I consider for just black! I also consider how the car will be used (ie. Daily Driver, car shows, stored in a garage etc.) All of these things come from years of experience and having tried MANY different waxes/sealants over the years.
There is no right or wrong choice, but instead just a better choice of what looks best to you and that is all that matters.
Here is a pic of just my Meguiar's waxes/sealants I use, minus the, Quik Wax, Marine and Mold Release waxes. I have many other brands as well as customers sometimes want something very specific as they want to try it or have heard about it etc...
I hope this helps!

That said....Lately I've been doing M21 + a spray down of AW every few washes. My paint stays clean longer and is slicker without the M26, so I've sacrificed looks a bit in exchange of the slickness of M21.
