ZoranC (forum member) informed me on autogeek that 105 uses non diminishing abrasives. That is it uses ultra fine finishing abrasives which are singular in shape, size, hardness, and cut. If this is the case, I would like to discuss how the product and remove paint aggressively, while finishing to a near LSP ready shine, with out the benefit of polishing itself out.

Re: Lets talk diminishing abrasives, specifically 105
We've sent an e-mail to Mike Pennington and Jason Rose and asked them to chime in, could you please post any link where ZoranC has posted information so that we can make sure what he's posting is correct.
Mike and Jason won't be back to work till after the weekend, so if you can hang tight until then.
At the end of the day, what's most important is the results, not the science behind the technology. We don't share our secrets on the Internet and ZoranC was invited by Jason Rose to do some comparison testing here at Meguiar's, not sure how much information Jason shared with ZoranC but if any of it was supposed to remain confidential then we hope he's been responsible in what's he's been posting.
It's actually a small world out here on the Internet.
Again, please include any links to threads where you've read something about our M105 or any of our products so we can read what's been posted, mostly just to make sure it's accurate and if not then we'll do our best to clear up any confusion.
Thanks!

http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...83&postcount=8I hope that addresses any concern you might be having over my responsibility.Originally posted by Mike Pennington View PostM105 does not feature diminishing abrasive. It features a new super micro abrasive.Mike
I would also like, now that you have let cat out of the bag (of me being invited over to do some comparison testing), to thank everyone for the opportunity I had, it was truly a pleasure, and I hope I will have such opportunity again one day.

To be clear, please know that M105 is not intended to be a LSP. It is not a polish. It is not part of a one-liquid system.
M105 Ultra-Cut Compound is...well, a compound. It is intended to go after sanding marks and severe defects. It is part of a two-liquid, two-step process...the second step being a Meguiar's polish that is positioned for follow up after a compound.
Within the category of aggressive compounds, we expect you will find what many others have already discovered...M105 will remove sanding marks incredibly fast and will leave an incredibly clear/glossy finish RELATIVE TO OTHER COMPOUNDS IN ITS CLASS. One can fully expect that this compound, unlike other "aggressive" compounds, will set you up for brief and easy second step polishing.
