    Hey Sean,

I live in Kelowna now. Usually our winters here are pretty mild. But last winter was brutal! Right now we are in a heat wave of up to 35C!! Man, -28.8C in the winter and then +35C in the summer!!

Up in Northern BC was a whole other story!!

      First off----- to Meguiar's Online!!

Secondly, many sealants can cause difficultly with black trim pieces. If you are worried, you could always do what most detailers would do and tape the trim with Blue Painters Safe Release Masking Tape.

Overall, I have found NXT Tech Wax more trim friendly than #20. With either one, as well as most other sealants, the key is to wipe off the trim immediately. If it does get on the trim, you can use Meguiar's Trim Detailer and a toothbrush to remove it.

So does that mean it just washed off that one layer now?

When I go wash it tommorow I will wash it by hand with a wash mitt then chamois it off? will that be okay? will all the products what I have applied be still left on the finish?

            I hate rain haha

              Hey 78_Caprice

Sorry I missed your post! I have to read all the posts that are being posted in the various forums and sometimes a couple get past me. Sorry again!

The amount of time that #20 Polymer Sealant needs to cure varies greatly depending on several factors ie. temperature, humidity etc. Suggesting to wait overnight is only a rough guideline.

Therefore, unless it started raining within a few hours after the removal of the #20, you will probably be just fine! For peace of mind however, you could always wash the car and add a second coat. That way, you are getting two coats which provides a more uniform coat on the finish.

                No problem at all!

BTW that was my second coat what got rained on before curing, it rained on it about I'd say 2 hours after I wiped it all off.

                  Hey,

If that was your second coat, then your first one would be still protecting, and probably the second one as well. I would however place another coat on top just to make sure.

                    Thanks 2hotford!

I'm just waiting to wipe the sealant off the whole car now, wow I went through a lot of the Polymer Sealant bottle haha, but the car looks GREAT!

Should I top it off with some Simoniz 100% Carnuba after this coat of polymer Sealant is cured? or should I leave it alone?

                      Hey,

You should be getting about 12-15+ details from one bottle of #20. If not, then you are applying it way too thick.

After the #20 cures, I like to top it with either #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax or #16 Professional Paste Wax.

I guess I'll try the #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax that will be okay for my Acrylic Paint job right?

Also is it okay to apply that wax after a few days because I am working for the next 3 days and won't have a chance to pick it up till then.

Will that be fine? or does it have to be topped immediately after the polymer sealant cures?

The #26 will be just fine! And, there will be no problem in topping the #20 a few days later.

Thanks 2hotford for the welcome and the answer I do use blue painters tape on the trim now. I find that easier to do then go and find all the areas that I got a little sloppy on. Just wanted to know if I needed to keep using it with #20. Thanks again
