Will #81 Hand Polish be Discontinued in Canada? Edit: No

I just spoke with a Meguiar's Canada rep who told me that #81 Hand Polish has been discontinued! This seems strange to me since this product is the only professional-series polish without cleaners, as far as I know. Your reasons, thoughts and any alternative products would be appreciated!

Edit: The same rep has now informed me that #81 is being discontinued in Canada only because it doesn't meet regulations.

Do you think it possible he meant that they would no longer carry it in Canada?

Meguiars just finished revamping the entire detailer line and it is possible that the professional line is next to be made VOC compliant. I wouldn't worry too much, if they do discontinue it there will be a replacement. Meguiars isn't about to leave holes in their product line.

#81 Hand Polish is not being discontinued. Besides M-81 Hand Polish , Meguiar's offers the below non-abrasive, pure polishes,


M-07 Show Car Glaze

Deep Crystal Polish

M-03 Machine Glaze

M-05 New Car Glaze

And in Meguiar's Marine Line there is a non-abrasive pure polish,

M-45 Boat/RV Polish

Thanks Mike. Sorry to raise unnecessary alarm! I've been using the Deep Crystal Polish. I wanted to try out #81 but was told that 81 had been replaced with 80, which made me skeptical because 80 has cleaners whereas 81 does not. Guess I'll have to contact Meguiar's Canada again and hastle them to get me some 81!
