  • #26 then NXT?

    Would I be wasting my time by using #26 then NXT over the top to get the best of a carnuba and a polymer? Has anyone tried it yet?

    If the temps will get into the 50s here I was going to try just that combo. #26 has been a favorite of mine for years. Although I really like NXT Tech Wax it does not give my paint the dark warm tone that I like about #26 so I am hoping that by starting with #26 and topping with NXT Tech Wax I can get the best of both worlds.

    You can see pics of my car with NXT on it at the webshots link in my sig.

      If you do that combo post the pics or let us know how it turned out as compared to the NXT only. About threee weeks ago I did NXT only and I still have a nearly full bottle of #26 and I hate to let it go to waste.

      Your car looks great!

        I did the NXT over Gold Class and it came out very nice;

        I would think that NXT would go over#26 as well.

          IMO, it is never a waste of time to try different combinations. I would think the paste version of #26 would be less likely than the liquid version to remove any of the NXT.

          I have a can of #16, I might have to try that over NXT.

            Wow! When did you pick that up? Are you just starting to try it? I really like #16. It is very reflective with good depth. I might even like it better than Souveran on my dark red car (but maybe not). I've never used P21S, but when people describe it, it reminds me of #16, except for the buttery part. #16 feels very dense and durable, though it wipes on and off without effort.

            Please post your impressions of it, I'd be interested to know. Next thing I know you'll be trying Final Detail out too!
