  • #3 Machine Glaze

Was going to use some of the #3 this weekend after Medallion PPC on my mom's Mazda. Follw that up with the #26 or #16. Was wondering if using my PC, what speed should I work in the #3? Also how do you lay it on/work it in? Till it's almost gone? Leave a light coat? The car is a 93 929 in Black Forrest. It's black until the sunshines on it and then there is a metallic emerald green tint. Paints in decent shape, but definately needs a good cleaning and polish/glaze before the wax.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    John

    Hey,

Meguiar's #3 Machine Glaze is an excellent product! Although most people use it with the rotary, many people have had good success with it using the PC as well. Try to use the PC with a W-9006 Finishing Pad and the speed set to 3-4. Apply the product but remove while still damp. Apply a thin, even and over-lapping coat.

You will love the resultant finsih!!

      Thanks

Thanks for the tips. I used it on my wife's 96 Outback we just sold to make room for her 05. I did the #9, #3, #26 on it. It looked like it was dripping wet. And white is hard to make look that way. A good detail job was the difference between $2k and $5k. And selling it ourselves...

I knew I left it on tooooo long. It was a pain to remove, but left such a slick, glimmering surface. I think I will keep using it.

I'm using the NXT on the new 05. Will the NXT remove the #3 if I use it prior to the NXT application? Although this car is flawless now and not sure it needs it.

        Hey,

Although NXT has some very mild specialized cleaners, it may remove some of the #3 but not enough to worry about it. I have been using the #3, #7, and/or #81 under NXT for a long time without a problem. You still get the benefit of the Pure Polish and added look as well as protection from the NXT!!
