I applied 20/16 to a white Ford Expidition and black Silverado SS in early February and in late May, when I waxed both again, they were still beading nicely and had some surface slickness. BTW, we had a real wet spring and some snow and ice in late February.

BTW, wait a day or two and top with #16. Adds a nice layer of 'wet' to the great reflections you get from #20. Nearly bulletproof combo too!
Over tha past couple of weeks I have tried NXT and #20. The fragrence of NXT gave me a terrible headache (similar fragrences have done this to me all my life), but the #20 worked and looked great and I felt just fine after using it so I guess its a no brainer on what I will use in the future. So now I am interested in topping #20 with #16. I don't have a pc so I was wondering what was your method of applying #16 by hand? Sometimes using paste type waxes and be a pita, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

#20 does have mild cleaners in it.

                Hey,

                Just to clarify,

The specialized cleaners that are in #20 are more for bonding purposes rather than cleaners that are in a dedicated cleaner/wax.

But for a finish in good condition it is a great one step product

                    Hey,

The finish should be polished and ready for a last step product. Again, the specialized cleaners will not clean the paint like a dedicated one step cleaner/wax. But, if your finish is in excellent condition and you only want to top it again, then applying the #20 will be just fine!

                      Didn't mopar just say this????

I've used #20 as a one step product and it works great.

No Tgara, he did not. He called #20 a great one step product. I said that it is not as aggressive as a one step product in the Meguiar's line of products.

I have been using #20 for close to 20 YEARS. I know its limitations in terms of cleaning. As I said, the specialized cleaners are more for bonding purposes. If someone has a paint that needs to be cleaned, using a dedicated and an appropriate product should be chosen.

I use #20 on light colors and NXT on dark colors.

As an aside....#20 looks AWESOME on chrome rims!!

Instead of starting another #20 PS vs NXT:

What differs in the "looks" department? I have used #20 1.5 years ago. Now I used NXT, and I don't remeber the #20's look anymore, thus I cannot compare. I noticed NXT is wet-looking, (probably because there was oils in it? does it contain? can a polymer based sealant contain oil?)

I noticed that #80's paintable polymer look, disappeared after applying NXT x 2. (The "Gel" look is replaced with an oil-wet look).

I wonder if I topped #80 with #20, will the paintable polymer disappear also just like NXT? or will #20 retain (if not to amplify) the same look as the #80's paintable polymers?

Which between NXT and #20 has a more polymer appearance?

                            TIA!
I wash and wash my car until the whole thing disappeared!

#20 has more of a polymer appearance. NXT gives more of the wet look.
