  • When #83 doesnt cut it

I've been using #83 with great results.
It has pretty much taken care of all the things I ask it to.
Today I had a 98 Black Dodge pickup.
Goes through a carwash regular and I'm not sure if it was ever polished before. I was using the rotary @1200rpm and a foam cutting pad. I took three passes and hit it with the DA and some #80.
There were still alot of defects it could not take out but all in all it looked great.
My question is what should i bump up to?
    Should I go with #84 or #85?
From what I've been reading #84 was more designed for foam and not wool pads? Or am I wrong about that?
Can #84 be used with wool or should I just go with the #85? And if so can #85 be used with a foam pad or was it just meant for wool?
#83 is my go to polish and I'm always pleased with the results. I'm just trying to save myself a few steps.
    Thanks for your help.

I don't know much about this but since you wanted a reply

I think M85 is for the wool only and #84 likes the W7000(or 6)
