  • Directions for #66 Quick Detailer?

    I recently received a sampler bottle of #66 so obviously it doesn't include any instructions. Can somebody give me the instructions on how to use this product with the G-100?

    I appreciate any help.

    If its just a quik detailer then I don't think its supposed to be used with a g100 right?

      It's not a quick detailer really. I'm really not sure why Meg's named it QD. It's actually an aggressive cleaner/wax. If you hit the link below, it's the first product on the page.

      ADS says:
      * One-step cleaner/wax, specially formulated for high-production reconditioning.
      * Aggressive cutting action.
      * Quickly and safely removes oxidation and blemishes.
      * Restores deep gloss and provides a durable wax finish .

        #66 is a product with some cut abilities and leaves behind some protection. It's geared for hi volume shops. I think it rates a 4 on the cut scale. It does some pretty good surface defect removal.

        #66 can be applied by hand, DA, orbital, and rotary. I use the product with a DA as I would a regular polish...

        -Spread even coat on speed 3
        -work in product on speed 5
        -when #66 clears up I stop polishing and let sit to cure before removal.
        -remove with MF as I wold a regular wax.

              Very cool. I was raised in Rensselaer, IN which is in NW Indiana. If you've heard of St. Joe College, that's where Rensselaer is. Also, the Chicago Bears practiced there at St. Joe College back in the day (I think '45 - '74 maybe?). If you've heard of the movie "Bryan's Song", it was filmed there at St. Joe. Needless to say, I grew up a big Chicago Bears fan.

              I moved to Indy before I started 7th grade. We moved to the tiny town of Avon (this was in '92). Now Avon is crazy busy. My wife graduated from Brownsburg and Brownsburg is a little more quiet so that's why we chose to live here. I'm still a huge Bears fan, but it would be nice to see the Colts win the big one. Although, if my Bears build on what they had last year, the Colts might have to wait a little longer Anyway, that's my story and we're sticking to it...LOL!

              Where at in Indy did you live scrub?

                East side off of 21st and Post rd. I went to school at Warren Central. My step dad is from NW Ind. He worked in the steel mills up there until layoffs.

                I hadn't been to Avon, but didn't they have a pretty good high school football team at one time?

                Bears huh oh well! Really though I just love watching football. I'll watch any game I can. I don't think grossmans the answer. I still like Orton. Thomas Jones was getting ready to be the next P holmes but looks like he might get benched or traded.

                  Warren Central...very good in football last few years. Ranked nationally. Avon, like you said, also had a good football team. I was on the '95 & '97 teams that went to semi-state finals. I was a senior in '97 (grad. '98).

                  I remember Grossman playing high school ball down in Bloomington b/c we were/still are the same age. I give him a little more slack just for being an Indiana boy. And really, his injuries have just been a freak of nature. They aren't injuries that one can really prevent. Being a Purdue fan, I like Orton a lot. Hopefully, Orton can work on more of the basics now. He just wasn't ready to be pushed into the starting roll. But if you heard, the players (minus Moose) really thought highly of him and his poise in there. I was really glad to see Thomas Jones have the year he did last year. He deserved a Pro-Bowl selection. If you think about it, people knew the Bears weren't going to pass on them so more times than not teams tried shutting down the run game. Going for 1300+ yards like that is quite an accomplishment. Especially, being hurt for one or two games. It's kind of unfotunate that they drafted Cedric Benson but who knew that TJ would have a breakout year like that. This year will be VERY interesting between the two. I feel bad for TJ b/c he's having re-claim his job after having a year like that. But I do like what I saw from Benson last year before he got hurt. I think the offense will be much better this year. They have 3 great running backs and some good young receivers in Bernard Berrian & Mark Bradley. I hated to see Bradley go down last year. It seemed like him & Orton were really clicking together. The defense returns 11 starters and added a lot of depth in the offseason so I think it's safe to say they will be one of the best in the league again this year.

                  As far as the Colts are concerned, it will be interesting to see how the offense fairs w/o Edge. They are going to have to re-establish the run game to make teams respect it again. Hopefully the defense makes more strides this year. I thought they looked pretty good last year, except for a few games (cough, Cincy, cough). If they can win it all this year, especially w/o Edge, it will be a huge accomplishment.

                  Alright, I guess since this is my own thread I can hi-jack it like this...LOL. I'm out for now .

                      sorry to bring up such an old thread, but I was just reading through some stuff on here about #66 (love the product) and came across this thread. I couldn't believe what I was reading towards the end of this thread. Check it out.

                      That's crazy that he could be comparing the two superbowl teams back in August. (closest thing to a superbowl prediction you'll find on this site) although he got the winning team wrong.

                      Sorry again for bringing up such an old post, but it was kinda weird reading that and football is my number one love, (keepin the cars lookin' great is a close second)

                        LOL, I'd like to say I predicted it all based on my gut feelings, but.... haha. You gotta have some luck!

                        Anyway, I'm sad that my Bears didn't win, however, I'm glad it was the Colts that won if it couldn't be the Bears!

                          Good find. I forgot about this post. I've seen Grossman torch the gamecocks many times.

                          It's awesome the Colts finally won the big one.

                          Thanks for diggin this up.

                            Not too bad. The cold weather is killing me. Really want to get out there and be able to detail!

                              Would you use a finishing pad, or a foam pad on this one. I tried it today with a finishing pad and it worked really well. The paint was fairly soft though. Also how much working in should be done? Should this go on much like M83 or M80?
