  • Anything Comparable to Quick Interior Detailer in Pro or D-Line?

    Hey all,

I really love the Quick Interior Detailer b/c it cleans and leaves nothing behind.

Is there anything in the the Professional or Detailers line that compares to it? I'm in the process of compiling a list of products I want to use for my side business. Quick Interior Detailer just isn't very economical when it comes to mass quantities.

I just want somethingn like QID that cleans and leaves nothing behind. I'd love to be able to buy QID in bulk but I'm guessing it doesn't exist.

    I'd appreciate any help.

I know this has been suggested in the 'New Product Suggestion' forum... not sure it helps you now but maybe in the future?!?!

Hey gb, thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one in this predicament. I'll check out that forum and add my 2 cents.

      Thanks!

BTW, I just stumbled upon Meg's #40. Any thoughts on it?

Well, you can use diluted APC or APC+. It does come in bulk, and works good. Can be used for plastic, leather, vinyl, cloth.

Just dont soak your cloth, I tend to dampen a cloth a tad, then spray APC on cloth with a spray bottle every so often.

I dont think APC it leaves much of anything behind when I use it.

If you want to try APC, I'll also add:

            1. If you try APC, get a foaming head sprayer. Its a nice touch.

            2. The recomended dilutions are 4:1 for heavy stuff or 10:1 for light stuff. So I put it at about 6-7:1 and its gotten everything so far.

Wheelwells, tires, wipe down in engine compartment, shoes, white carpets with chocolate milk spilled on it (ask how I know), so on and so on. Really great stuff just around the house, never mind for the car.

The one thing I don't like about APC is the smell. Its fine at first, but after a while it gets to you and I start to really hate it (usually happens when I'm doing absolutely filthy cars and I'm using APC on everything). I much prefer the smell of QID as it just smells "clean."

Anyways, check your paper for Pep Boys ads. One time they ran a sale, they had QID 2 for $7 and QD 2 for $4 with coupons. I stocked up on 6 or 8 bottles of QID and QD each. If Meguiar's never offers anything similar to QID in the Pro or Detailer line I would love it if a place like ADS would sell it buy the case at a discount. I would certainly buy it if the savings were there.
