    Hey,

Using the PC when applying products will allow you to apply a much more uniform and thin coat. This will not only save you money in wasted product but also make removal much easier. I also believe that using the PC allows one to apply products with an even pressure, being distributed over the pad's surface. This avoids the uneven hand pressure when applying products by hand.

for sake of argument, when you are deciding what to use on a vehicle, do you view #80 as "#82 1/2" in ohter words a a bridge between #83 and #82 or as something all together different?

I see it as alltogether different, the way it works is different than the others.

You mean that #80 will sometimes remove paint defects that, say, #83 won't remove?

I cant say it will remove defects that #83 wont but sometimes its more effective in the way that is works...does that make sence ? It has something to do with the chemical action in #80.

Lemme get this straight. Is it ok, using #80 alone, as a polish in itself?

yes, it is an excellent polish! I would recomend topping it with some protection though.

Sounds like #80 has some MPPC qualities to it.

Such as the NXT Tech Wax?

I can't wait to try this stuff out. Tomorrow I'm gonna try out the PC! I'm excited

                        Hey,

Yes you can use #80 as a polish. Plus with its healthy dose of TS oils, you will have an incredible finish. So to protect it, top it with NXT Tech Wax or #20/26 combo.

Good Luck and keep us posted!

Thanks! I am new at this, acquiring little by little, products and knowledge. Tomorrow I plan to detail my 93 Buick Regal Limited 3800, so I am looking forward to that. I'll be sure to take both before AND after pics!! (After pics, well of course!)

I was introduced to #80 at the Meguiars/Autopia meet and I really like it. Aurora40 and I used it on a silver 350Z that had minor cobwebbing and it seemed to take them right out. Finish off with NXT and WOW! Seems to be a very nice 2 step combo on paint with minor defects.

A very quick question about #80. I have applied this with a PC today and the car does look very shiny but do I need to or should I now apply #81 hand polish or is that just a wasted step before I apply NXT? Is there going to be a visual difference if I apply #81 over #80 and if so how much of a difference? Thanks.

PS: I am going to do a full report including prepping the car, using products by hand one week and the following week a full process with the pc with the professional range and show the pics of before and after.

I've yet to try #80, but I believe any detail job on clear coat paint will look better with an application of #81 Hand Polish.
