  • Tips for using All Seasons Dressing?

I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma with black plastic fender flares. M38 works well but doesn't hold well when it rains. I've also tried 303, Mothers back to black and Z16 all look good until it rains. I recently tried All Seasons Dressing and it seems to leave streaks. I wiped the flares down with 50/50 alchol and water thinking there may be some residue from the water based products. That didn't help. After applying All Seasons I let it set for an hour or so and wiped the excess off with a microfiber towel.

    Ideas?

    Hey,

I use a lot of All Season Dressing!! The streaks are caused by not leaving it on long enough before removal.

Use a dedicated foam application pad, and apply a thorough coating of ASD to the plastic. Now leave it for a good 5-7 minutes, then come back and use a dedicated MF towel and thoroughly wipe down the plastic. I just love the stuff, but the key is allowing it to sit for the 5+ minutes before wiping it down.

    Cheers!

2hotford, small minds think alike! LOL! I was thinking that maybe the ASD needed to "soak" into the pores of the plastic. Last night I went out to the garage and put a fairly heavy coat on the flares and left it sit over night. This morning took a microfiber cloth and removed the excess. Looks pretty good. I'll give it a few days and see what happens. Thanks for the tip!
