  • Questions on detailer line

    Hi from Italy,
I'm going to buy 4 products of the detailer line but first I need to ask some questions. The chemicals are:
    Last Touch Spray Detailer
    Hyper-Dressing
    All Purpose Cleaner
    Safe D-Greaser.

    1) Is Last Touch Spray Detailer a kind of quick detailer?
    2) How long does Hyper dressing last on tires in a dilution of 1:1?
    3) Is All Purpose Cleaner safe on clear coat and does it strip off wax?
    4) Can I use Safe D-Greaser on whell wells and on plastic rim cover? Is it safe on paint?

I can speak for the Last Touch... Yes it is a quick detailer. For best results use it on a cool surface and if you use less it seems to work better. Wants to streak on warm surfaces and if you use too much product. LT is one of my favorite Qder's.

EDIT: you can dilute it 1:1 for a clay lube.

      1) Is Last Touch Spray Detailer a kind of quick detailer?

      Answer-Yes

      2) How long does Hyper dressing last on tires in a dilution of 1:1?

Answer- I can't give you a time frame for how long it will last because your enviroment will affect the longevity of the product.

I live in Southern California and hyper dressing mixed 2:1 lasts weeks and weeks.

      3) Is All Purpose Cleaner safe on clear coat and does it strip off wax?

      Answer: Yes and yes

      4) Can I use Safe D-Greaser on whell wells and on plastic rim cover? Is it safe on paint?

Answer: We use it for wheel wells. It may lightly stain plastic wheel covers and some older paint finishes.

Ok, thank you for the answers. What is the best product in the detailer line to clean the door jambs? By now I only dry them with a terry towel without using any chemical. I wanted to use APC but if it strip of wax it's not the best idea... Is APC good enought to clean the whell wells and engine bay?

So, what can I use to clean the door jambs?

For doorjambs, you may want to get some APC on a towel/cloth, and then apply it that way, rather than spraying everywhere.

ColorX makes a nice wax for doorjambs (painted areas you can reach) and will make cleaning easier.

              Excellent suggestion.

We use 99% time soap and water. We apply a cleaner to a rag (as suggested) to clean dirtier areas of the door jams.

Our primary reason for doing so is so we don't clean out the lubercant from the door hinges.
