Re: Meguiar's Ultimate Waterless Wheel & Tire

Having used this for a few months now I can't help but think if I need to continue using the Ultimate Insane Shine Tire with it... I'm happy with the shine it gives but am wondering if the additional Insane Shine will help with longevity maybe? Is there any huge reason I should continue using both?

Great to hear you are enjoying our Ultimate Waterless Wheel & Tire! To answer your question regarding whether or not you need to use an additional tire shine product, a dedicated tire shine, like Ultimate Insane Shine, is a more premium tire shine option. In the case of Ultimate Insane Shine, just like you mentioned, yes, more shine, more longevity.

Re: Meguiar's Ultimate Waterless Wheel & Tire

I have matte black wheels. If this product leaves a "shine" on tires will it also do the same to my wheels or will it wipe off clean?

I have been doing a weekly session with this on both cars sing the Insane Tire shine and will continue to do so. I have run a test of just the wheel and tire on my wifes car which dosent get used as much as mine and the results speak for themselves in that the added application of Insane shine really helps with the shine and durability. It only takes another few minutes to apply the Insane shine.

How does the wheel cleaning ability differ from UWW&W G3626 or D11501? I'm not after the tire shine but something to give the wheels a quick wipe down after autocross. Most shine products interfer with chalking the sidewalls.

If I water access the Decon D180101 is awesome for getting the iron out of the wheels.

Ultimate Waterless Wheel & Tire is designed completely differently than G3626 or D115. Ultimate Waterless Wheel & Tire is designed for wheels, yes, but, even more so, is designed to clean contaminants that a user encounters on wheels, especially brake dust. So that is what makes it much different than Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax (G3626) or D115, what it is designed to clean.

Has this been discontinued? It's out of stock everywhere? This was my go to wheel and tire cleaner when swapping track side and after autocross at places without water.

                    Hi arthuruscg,

Yes, this product is being phased out. It’s a great and unique offering, but unfortunately, it never quite caught on, even though we kept it around for quite a while. I’ll make sure to document your feedback internally—thank you for sharing it.

At this time, we recommend either our Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax Spray or the Hybrid Ceramic Waterless Wash & Wax. As you probably know, these won’t match the cleaning power specifically needed for heavy wheel and tire grime, but they are commonly used on wheels for lighter cleaning tasks.

                    Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere - 26 oz.

Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Waterless Wash & Wax - 24 oz.

If you bring it back, it would likely be a hit if you also offered a Rubber remover spray (tire and cone rubber). The bug and tar doesn't work that well, so people turn to your competitors products.
