    While we wouldn't recommend the system as an alternative to rotary/wool/M105 for removing sanding marks from a vehicle that had been completely wet sanded, for spot repair we think you'll be very pleasantly surprised. Of course, the paint is going to play a significant role in this, but if by "high grit" you're talking about 2000 to 3000 grit sanding marks......... well.......

        In theory, sure, you can use other products with these pads. And you can use these liquids with other pads. But if you knew the amount of research, alterations, testing, changes, tweaks, adjustments, additional testing, additional changes and tweaks that were done on this system to make it truly a "system" then you'd probably think twice about experimenting. Trust us, we've done all the experimenting you can possibly think of on this - we've had this in the works for several years with testing and feedback coming from literally all over the world. If we tweaked a liquid, we'd have to tweak the pad in response, and vice versa. The functionality, the user experience (which you guys are going to love) and the speed with which this system works is not going to be easily rivaled by throwing a different liquid on these pads (or pads under these liquids).

        Yes, we know some of you are going to experiment, and that's fine. We also know that some of you are going to be perfectly happy with the outcome of your experimentation, and that's fine too. But we put a lot time, effort and energy into creating a system that just plain works, right out of the box, for the vast majority of users.

            Although I want this system for automotive use, I can't help but wonder how it would work on boat gel-coat. Meg's must have given gel-coat a try also.

                I don't have any finger nails left...... I'm starting to pull on my hair....

                I have a particularly NASTY Corvette Z06 to do in two weeks, and I really... REALLY to want to jerk around with a rotary and a wool pad. But, it looks as though I will have too.

                    I wonder if I could get an answer to this Mike.

                    I usually use one of my rotary's on this but I'd like to try my DA with this system to get out some storage scratches. It has no oxidation and is always waxed. Strictly a fair weather boat.

                      Just pick up some Surbuf pads in the meantime. Those + M105 work wonders in a pinch.

                        I love this combination.
                        Performs magic without any need for a rotary tool.

                        I think Meguiar's D/A Microfiber System Step-1 (Correcting Compound) is gonna finish without any micro-marring nor haze.
