The new microfiber pads use aggressive/ sharp microfibers, similar to Surbuf pads' micro-fingers. That's why microfiber cutting pad with correction compound offers such an aggressive combination.

Microfiber bonnets are pretty gentle and mostly used for wax application and removal with electric polishers.

To be clear and fair I didn't use DA Microfiber Correction System. Just my thoughts.

I haven't either (tried Meguiars microfiber system), BUT...having tried polishing this way (with a microfiber bonnet), I can tell you that you CAN cut some pretty heavy swirls AND finish micromarring free.

      Give it a try!

I must give it a try then.

Did you try it over every pad: cutting, polishing and finishing?

the pad density is important only for the amount of pressure you'll use. i.e. firmer pad = the ability to apply more pressure. Believe it or not, the MF does the cutting.

Mist the MF when the polish starts to dry (occasionally) with water

In my opinion, the pads in the Meguiars microfiber system are very different to those made by Surbuf

Although I haven't tried this, it does sound quite logical. When working by hand, a microfiber applicator is more aggressive than a foam applicator, so I would expect the same to apply to pads on a machine.

I guess the beauty of the Meguiars microfiber system is that the pads and compound are designed to complement each other to provide the optimal results.

Can this new system be used with a cyclo polisher?

Theoretically, yes. But...... not with their backing plate since it's wider than the small pads we offer, and the next size up in pads is too big for the Cyclo. You need to source a new backing plate(s) that will fit the small pads and you're fine.

We're dealing with a couple of production issues with ancillary pieces of the program - more to do with packaging than any of the liquids or pads, but it's still causing a bit of a hold up for us. There are a lot of components that go into this in the grand scheme (multiple sized pads, various packaging options for the pads, various liquids and their associated packaging, introductory kits, etc). Unfortunately, a hold up with any one of these impacts everything.

Since its held up by packaging don't you think its about time for some of the write-ups.

The Aston by Joe would be interesting since its about my favorite car. I would be interested in any others also.

Tim always does an excellent and in depth review of the products he tests. Can't wait.

At least we know where the system stands and that once they get the small issue worked out we can finally get our hands on it.
