It does a good job of hiding minor defects. As well or better than NXT.

Just picked mine up today at Advanced Auto along with UP and some more Endurance Tire Gel. To bad we've had crazy amounts of snow and it's not looking like I'll have a chance to use any of this for a while. Car certainly needs it!

Probably even worse now, that was a couple weeks ago.

I also just picked up some UW today from advance , they didn't have any UP yet though. Soon after my brother calls. Says he just washed his car, and is going to wax it tomorrow. I said wait! ill come over and do it for you!

Mine finally come that I ordered on Amazon a few weeks ago.

Tomorrow I will be washing my car with ONR and then doing a quick cleaning of the paint with Klasse AIO then topping with UW (thought about doing a side by side comparison on my roof against NXT, which I LOVE!) to see how they compare.

Temps will be in the high teens/low 20's, Mike, any thoughts about working in those temperatures? I've very anxious about getting UW onto my paint now that I've got the bottle in my hand.

Side note - I prefer the smell of NXT but UW isn't bad, I just like the sweet smell of NXT and will miss it.

I just picked up the liquid on Monday and stopped by my local Auto Zone to find the paste.

Kudos to your graphics and packaging team! The products are uniquely packaged with stand out graphics. What really caught me off guard was how the paste wax package sat the shelf, with a lean towards the back, just to give it an extra "look at me" factor!

Seriously... I know some of you may think it's just packaging, but it really does look impressive.

Just one thought, really: don't do it. 55F is usually the cutoff point, but we've read a few cases of people having success with temps down into the 40s. But low 20s? Don't do it.

Thanks for that. We got a lot of very positive feedback on the packaging at SEMA and from personal experience I can tell you that when I brought my first box home, I almost felt guilty throwing the box away because it was so nice!

I have only used one product that somewhat works in the high teens and low twenties and even then it was hard to work with (it was rinseless wash and iced over before I could wipe it off....).

My sentiments exactly. I may actually keep the boxes! They're that puuuuurty.

Now... just gotta find some time to use these products!

                    • Re: Ultimate Wax

                      My Experience:
I just applied Ultimate Wax liquid with a DA on my black hood with a LC Black pad. Here is what I did and my results...
(I can post pics upon request)

                      Preface:
Although I have MENZ SIP/106/P085 & MEGS 105/205 the auto parts store had the UCompound/UPolish combo on sale.
Well I picked up the three products...UCompound, UPolish & UWax and thought I'd give 'em a try as a "matched" trio.

My hood really is in pretty good shape but it did have a few very small fine scratches.
I figured I'd try the KBM and UPolish and see if it cleared 'em up.
The UPolish didn't get rid of 'em completely so I reached for the UCompound.

                      Ultimate Compound:
Having experience with 105 and hearing UCompound was based on 105 I expected it to dry quickly and dust.
I usually keep a misting bottle handy when I use 105 and this allows me to increase the 105 working time.
I found UCompound allowed a longer working time and was not as aggressive as 105 in removing defects.
I also found there is still dusting with UCompound but not as bad a 105 and UCompound had a longer working time.
It was not necessary to mist UCompound with water while using it and it was easier to tell when its "life" was gone.
After applying UCompound with the LC orange flat pad the paint did not have that slight matte finish like 105.

                      Ultimate Polish:
I then took a LC white pad and UPolish gave it a go. I found UPolish to be even easier to work with than 205.
No dusting at all, slightly oily glaze look, a nice working time and it left and very nice shiny finish when done.
I did an IPA after I did each section with UPolish. Usually with 105/205 after an IPA it looks hazy.
I did not find the hazy look with the UPolish. It was shiny and I sill was able to see if any more polishing was needed.
I have heard to use mineral spirits as a polish wipe down as it looks better for when the customers are looking.
I personally do not do this as I want to see the paint, even if it's flat looking, to see if more correction is needed.
UPolish was very easy to remove and was not like trying to chip off hardened cement. I'm sure you know what I mean.

                      Ultimate Wax:
The name of this product makes me smile. I know it's a "clean sheet of paper" 100% synthetic product and contains no "wax".
I primed the LC black flat pad and applied then put five small dots on the pad surface this was enough for half the hood.
I went up and down and back and forth at speed 3 moving fairly quick to spread the product out over the hood.
I then put five more small dots on the pad and did the other half of the hood. The pad was still moist when I was done.
Now here come the part I'm not really sure if I did correctly. I removed it with a MF bonnet over a wool pad after 10-15 minutes.
In the one or two spots where I had streaking I took the supplied black MF towel and wiped them until they were gone.
I just now read about putting a light water mist on a MF towel and lightly wiping the streaks until they disappeared.
I waited about an hour and then applied a second coat. OK, after reading this thread I now realize you're not supposed to do this.

                      Results:
What a brilliant shine! I'm really blown away with the look. I have way too MANY different LSP's on my shelf & nothing compares!
I really like the finish. It wasn't that great when I did it in the morning but it looked awesome in the 75 degree afternoon sunshine.
It's slick, hard and the shine and clarity are flat out awesome! I really like the look and feel of the finish and the depth of shine.

Now another very important question. NXT is easy to apply & looks good but IMHO it does not last.
Realistically can anyone tell me how long this new UWax supposed to last? I really don't like "waxing" every other week.

NXT 2.0 should be lasting far longer than 2 weeks, unless it's getting buried under road salt or exposed to torrential rains. In any event, UW should be far more durable than NXT - even for those who state they're getting a couple of months of life from NXT.

Well I don't know if it was fantastic or not but it was lengthy. (Sorry 'bout that)
And yes, I was impressed & pleasantly surprised...especially for a "consumer" product.

I've bought and tried about every LSP made from Adams to Zaino. (A-Z)
I really like the way the Ultimate Wax finish looks on the vehicles black paint.
I was able to obtain a glossy "show car" finish with very little effort and energy.

Has anyone had issue with the curing (or lack thereof)? I applied UW just over a week ago to just a couple of panels (roof and spoiler) and left the car alone for a week. Got a chance to check it out today and after a full week the panels seemed to have not cured. The car is kept indoors and was under a cover (a Megs customer care rep said it should be fine after I called to check) and I could still see the surface smear like I had just applied it. Did the cover hinder the curing process? Temps over the past week ran from the mid 50s to upper 60s this past week with humidity being reasonable with exception to a front passing through that dropped temps and provided a dusting of snow on Thursday but over the weekend warm and dry which should have been more than enough to cure properly. Anyone?
