Not sure why so many people consider NXT to be a cleaner wax - it isn't. It's a polish wax, as is 21, as is Ultimate Wax. You get more cleaning ability from the applicator you use than anything NXT has in it.
OK, I just used ultimate paste wax. Looks really good. Meguiars recommends two coats. How long do I need to wait to put on a second coat? Also, if it gets dirty between coats can I use ultimate quick detailer or do I need to wash?

The streaking appearance is caused by the difference in thickness of the product. Thicker areas refract light differently than thin areas.
The objective is to have a uniform even coating of the sealant. IMO, this is best accomplished by applying to a properly prepped car that is cool and in the shade. Use a clean foam pad and use minimal product. The sealant should take a longer time to haze over and ultimately level out on a cool surface much as a coat of wet paint would. I believe Meguiar's recommends a second coat of the product to insure a uniform even coat. Try applying a second coat after a day (12-24 hours) and see if you don't eliminate the streaks.
Just a quick tip regarding the black towels that ship with both versions of Ultimate Wax - wash them separately prior to use.
I did some detailing over the weekend and threw two of the black towels in with my Water Magnets and a few Ultimate Wipes..... all of them now have a gray tint to them! No compromise in performance, but the color change threw me for a second!
