but doesnt the new version dry on the dry so there wont be a reason to wipe off excess
Loading up the gel can still lead to some issues - people just seem to have this natural tendency to overuse product for some reason!!
Out of the three versions of this product, the trigger spray is going to be the one that dries the most thoroughly, and the most quickly. It's just sort of the nature of the three formats.
If you've been using the gel and love it, then keep using it exactly the same way as before but you should find it lasts a bit longer than previously. The aerosol is a convenience format for those who like the format, as is the trigger.
When using the Endurance Tire Gel what do you recommend using to apply it to the tire?
I just generally use a few paper towels folded up. I apply the product to the towel and just wipe onto the tire. I don't go back over to wipe off the excess - if there is any. I can't say that I've experienced any product thrown off onto the paint or anything afterwards. This stuff is fantastic.
Foam applicators work great, but others really like a cut down paint brush that's a couple of inches wide. The trick is to work it into all the little nooks and crannies of the lettering and other graphics on the sidewall, then let it penetrate and dry, and then wipe the tire down with an old terry towel after a few minutes. You just don't want any excess on the sidewall that might be thrown off when the tire reaches speed. This can be a bit tricky to remove fully from those graphics/lettering/etc so just be a bit diligent on the details.

To those who prefer an aerosol, they often cite ease of use and speed of application as their main reasons for choosing aerosols. We offer the product in the various formats because people tend to be very loyal to these different delivery methods.
I tried that stuff just for something different...complete waste of money. So hard to work with and it only lasted a day on the tires. And of course it spun off the tires onto the paint too.
Our new consumer products will be on store shelves starting late January to early February at most large auto parts chains, WalMart, Target and the usual major online retailers.
