I have a question about the headlight protectant. Is it wipe on wipe off like MO7 or wipe on let haze like NXT 2.0? Also, how much use can you expect to get out of a sanding disc?

Is there any foam pad that would work nearly as well as the easy buff pad that comes with the system? This would be assuming to use all the other parts of the system...

I love this product, was a tad skeptical at first since its a newer product and not many reviews but wow. I don't usually do this but since there isn't much out there for reviews on this product I figured Id give it a go.

Its ridiculously easy to use, it took around an hour maybe a little longer for both start to finish(I'm slow and methodical). We just got this car the other day its a 2000 Infiniti g20 with 140k miles on it and well the pics will speak for them selves. Money well spent imo.

when i wax my car i also wax my headlights and taillights, should i use the headlight protectant instead if it becomes a stand alone product or is waxing them fine?

The Gut Wagon* sitting in my driveway really needs this. Hazy light covers are worse than dirty windows. I can't tolerate either!



* 2000 Chevy Silverado 4x4. 150,000 miles, dents, rust, the interior is totally trashed and falling apart. It has survived multiple teenage drivers. New rebuilt tranny thanks to the last one. No fluid leaks, now.

What's up with the orange towel included?

In the initial stages of putting together the first kit, the small format towel we tested just happened to be orange. We later specified our traditional gold color to match our Supreme Shine towels. We're moving to the orange color just to be a bit different with this kit.

Are you able to tell me if the UV protectant is similar to what comes in the rain-x kit?

I honestly have no clue what the protectant in the Rain-X kit is like or how it compares life span wise to this one. I'll have to touch base with R&D after SEMA on that one.

Is the protectant beneficial even for headlights that have NOT been 'restored' using the rest of the components of the kit? Like on a brand new vehicle to prevent deterioration from happening in the first place, for example.... I'm assuming yes.

If so, that product could even make a good addition to the professional line to be marketed as an up-sell service for new vehicle customers at detail shops.

In theory, since it does offer very good UV protection, yes. We doubt a lot of people would use something like this regularly, however, so we aren't marketing it as such.

Now, from a detailer's services perspective it might work. We'll have to see when and if the protectant is sold individually.

Initially, no, but we hope to make it available as a stand alone later on.

About the protectant - it's been tested extensively in the lab, of course, and it offers literally thousands of hours of UV protection. It's super easy to apply, almost like applying a pure polish. Once applied you can definitely feel an improved slickness on the surface of the lens.
