  • Marine Ultimate Quik Detailer - Slippery???

    Hi everyone,
I have been using #34 Final Inspection on my boat for the quick wipe down once back on the trailer. Does a good job and does not leave it slippery. I am thinking of trying the Marine UQD. Anyone have any experience using Marine Ultimate Quik Det? Does it leave the surface slippery? Especially concerned with the deck and walk-around area.

    Thanks!

I have no experience with the Marine version, but I do know that the automotive UQD is not recommended as a clay lube because it's too slippery, so I would expect the same with Marine UQD. Personally, I'd use both, M34 where traction is important and UQD everywhere else.

      Vettefan,

Great question and we would say you would notice a difference in the slickness of the gel coat when using our Flagship Ultimate Detailer. There are certain performance characteristics this product will provide like increased gloss and water beading, which can result in a smooth feel. Not an issue for 95% of the vessel but for these areas where one would be stepping or walking we would recommend staying with the #M34 Final Inspection. Keep in mind we also have our #M68 Non Skid Deck Cleaner which can be a great addition to washing to help clean the common issue of embedded dirt and grime in these non skid areas.

Great... Thanks Mike. Think I'll go with the UQD on the sides of the hull and I'll try the Non-Skid Cleaner for the deck and walk around.

        Happy Holidays!!!!
