It is gel coat. The green has a shaded white cast starting to come into it. The white is just dull. I have experence with car detailing but haven't fooled with gel coat.

            OK.

Actually, if you have many of the paint products already, you could try them quite easily. Gel Coat is just harder than car paint, so things like cutting pads, buffers, stronger products would be needed, or at least possibilities.

The Marine Line of products is very similar to the Car lines (cleaners, cleaner/waxes, waxes), just stronger products. You wouldnt want to use the cleaners on car paint.

You would probably want the Marine Line wax though...

If you are familiar with a rotary use that with one of the double sided wool pads and 85 diamond cut. The boat sounds like it is going to absorb alot of product as it is dried out. I have used that on alot of boats with excellent results. Keep going ove the area until the buffer runs smoothly and the gloss is returned and wipe off before you run it dry (use terry cloth towels to wipe off if you have any stubborn spots), the 85 breaks down nicely to a polished surface. Your going to have to spin the pad and brush it frequently to clean out the oxidation and keep it cutting well. I usually follow up with machine glaze#3 on a wool polishing pad or the DA with a polish(83,82,205,66,D151) I have used 205 with excellent results with the wool polishing pad on the rotary for swirl free perfection. Then simply wax with your choice of wax/sealant I use 20 or 21. For the small interior areas that arent horrible and not directly in the sun all the time I use #66 quick detailer by hand with a piece of terry cloth towel, it allows it to bite and has a very good cleaning action with decent protection. The 66 also works well for boats in decent shape using the appropriate wool polishing or cutting pad as the first step. Hope that helps and all those products are great for cars to and easily available.......
