  • Quick question on boat seats

I'm detailing a bass boat today (1998 Champion) and the owner said that his boat dealer told him not to put any "armor all" on the boat seats..

Any idea why? Will it be okay to use #57 on them?

Re: Quick question on boat seats

Assuming they are vinyl seats like pretty much every other boat on the market, the only reason I can see that the dealer would say that is because they may become slippery. With no seat belts and big horsepower hanging off the back there is the chance of losing control.

That being said, I've used 57 for the last few years on lots of boats with no problems. It worked wonders on some neglected Mariah seats last spring.

The other answer would be that the dealer had something better than armor-all to sell him

I could imagine how slippery the seats would become if they were wet with water after being treated with amor all.

I use #40 on my sisters boat seats and she has had a few people ask what she does to keep them looking so good.

M57 is more durable I believe.
