  • How many bottles?

how many boat feet does a whole bottle of #44 and #49 use? I will be using either polish on a Makita Rotary with Wool pad and need to know how many bottles to get?

And do I need to refill the pad with product after each 2x2 section?

How much product you use is going to be dependent on how severe the defects are you're trying to remove, how skilled you are with the buffer, and how old/hard the gel coat is. It's almost impossible to say how far you can stretch a bottle of product in a case like this.

Having said that, a single 32 oz bottle of something like M80, M83, M105 etc will, on average, correct a full sized American sedan (Chrysler 300, Ford Crown Vic, etc) at least a couple of times.

And, yes, you need to apply fresh product for each 2' x 2' area you work on.

A little goes a long way with #44 and #49, but I always have a couple extra bottles on hand when detailing a boat.
