Detailing boat with Base coat and clear

I am going to be ordering a DA polisher kit with pads from ADS. The question I have what polish and wax should I get for this boat. The boat has been repainted with a base coat clear coat. So should I start with a M105/m205 and finish up with Flagship premium Wax? The paint is in pretty good shape. It was just repainted two years ago. Any help will be grateful.

Any idea what kind of paint was used on this? Some marine specific paints are ridiculously hard so M105 is probably a good choice, even if the swirls are fairly minor. But if it was painted with an automotive paint then M105 may be overkill and Ultimate Compound may be a better choice for you.

So you are saying there is a marine grade paint that is a base coat/clear coat? I will try and see if I can find out what the guy used to paint the boat. I had bought the boat used last year and I dont know if I can find his number to call him. If I cant find out what he used what should I do?

There are indeed some newer marine paints on the market, and they do tend to be crazy hard. If you can't find out what kind of paint was used, we'd suggest going with Ultimate Compound as a starting point to remove swirls and other defects.
