  • Which products to use???

I have a 1999 38 foot motorhome that has a white gel coat with some decals on it. It has what I would call medium oxidation. I plan on using a compound to remove the oxidation, #49 is what I had planned on now I see they have a new product #91 any opinions?? I have read the thread about someone having trouble creating a haze after using a compound then using #45 polish. That was the second step I had planned, should I skip the polish and go strait to wax??? I plan on using #63 for a wax as my final step. Should I try to avoid the decals with any of these products? I am also planning on purchasing a DA buffer, wanting opinions on the best one, I was planning on the flex but see a lot of people use the Meguiars 110, any opinions???

I live fulltime in my 37 ft motorhome. I prefer the #50 Cleaner/Wax on the gel coat. Easy on and off and leaves a nice shine. I usually do not add another final product. Once around this rig is enough. I use a wax on the lower painted panels. I use 303 Protectant on the vinyl graphics due to the recomendations of the manufacture against using wax on them. (can cause them to dry and crack on some brands). I recently purchased the G110 DA and love it!! For many years I used an orbital machine and that was just slightly better than working by hand. There is a night and day difference in the G110.

I forgot to mention that #50 also does a very nice job removing oxidation.
