Is the M7521 glass cleaner from the boat / rv line safe to use on aircraft plexi-glass windows?

It seems Meguiar's glass cleaners are safe on all plexi and isinglass surfaces at least according to Dana's Marine Products

Actually, that's the wrong product for the job, it might work but were not sure if R&D ever formulated it for plastic so until we check you might want to hold off.

The right product for the job is this one,

      M1808 Clear Plastic Detailer

Use it with a clean microfiber like you would use a quick detailer on car paint.

And here's a thread on some of our other clear plastic products, looks like some imgages have gone missing so we'll fix that after the January 1st, 2008 Holiday is over.

Good point as usual Mike. Logically you would think, but noted.

I'll hold off, as right now I have plenty of Plexiglass cleaner. Since I don't want to do something that might be against the rules, I'll PM you the link to the product I have Mike.

Read you PM, looks like a similar product to our M18 only in an aerosol can and larger quantity of product. Go ahead and share the link, I'm sure the original poster of this thread can decide whether to go with Meguiar's or this product and if it ends up there's a market for a product like this, (an aerosol version of M18), then our Marketing team will take a look at it.

Meguiar's believes that our product line is always the top shelf choice in each category of product for a wide spectrum of reasons that we're not going to list but sometimes it's good to see what the market is trending towards and if it's decided that there's a new product or a new direction to take a product then we certainly want to investigate these opportunities and what better way to be brought up to speed than through our own forum.

            Make sense?

Well I am the original poster

Perhaps you can pass it on to your R&D department. I think its the ammonia in the glass cleaner thats the issue. I'd rather buy a Meguiar's product if you make something that is safe for my application. I know there aren't a whole lot of people detailing aircraft on here, but after all there is / was a Meguiar's Train Polish I think.
