Can auto cleaners be used?

Hi,

I want to polish my offshroe this sprint. There is not oxidation (or very little) as the boat is covered. I want to brigthen the white and take out an very minor blemishes.

I have used the oxidatiaon remover in the past.

I have a bottle of fine-cut auto polish - can this be used on gel coat to achieve the results I am after?

You will get better results if you use a product that is formulated for gel-coat, check out the Meguiars Marine line of products. I know will come spring.

Yes, but like justgiver said, you will get MUCH better results if you use the proper marine stuff. My boat looks much better when I use #45 (Marine Polish) & #56 (Marine Pure Wax) compared to when I use #7 (Show Car Polish) & #26 (High Tech Yellow Wax).
