  • Meguiars Marine grade supply containers

I have been detailing boats for the last three months solid - great money, but I sure would like to see some bigger sizes on the Marine grade containers. Lately I have been detailing 31 ft. through 47 ft. yachts.

Why does Meguiars offer larger containers for cars, but none for boats. I buy almost all of my car supplies in either 1 gallon or 5 gallon containers to help in keeping my supplies stocked. It sure would be great if they had a professional line in larger containers. My customers love the shine I put on the boats from Meguiars and it helps to promote Meguiars.

The only product I have not had great success with is the marine grade compound. It works good for light oxidation, but not with heavy oxidation. I see that it has been removed from Meguiars web site so I now use 3M products for my first step in bring back the shine. Is Mequiars dropping the boat line of products or are they coming out with some new stuff?

One other question, does Mequiars offer any stickers that I can buy to put on my truck and trailer so customers know I use Mequiars products?

Thanks for any assistance on these questions.

    Hi Details3,

If you don't have one of Meguiar's newest Marine Catalogs, then call our Customer Care Center Hotline tomorrow, tell them Mike Phillips sent you and ask them to send you the new Marine Catalog an the new Professional Catalog.

We have a new aggressive compound out called, One-Step Compound part number M-6732 that I think you'll like.

There are some other new products out also that you might like to try.

The catalog part number is MARCAT04 and the new Professional line catalog part number is VPROPG-04

As far as stickers go, ask the Customer Care person about this also and you can also ask your Meguiar’s distributor for them. If neither of these two get you anything let me know.

    Mike

      boat supplies

      Thanks Mike,

I ordered the catalogs today so I can get my supplies back on track. I also called about stickers at my Mequiars supplier and they said that none were available.

Thanks again for the assistance. My customers sure like the shine on the boats - just wish I could detail some of their cars, but no intrest on the cars. They are only concerned with keeping the boat shining.
