  • which pad????

I have a 2001 Bayliner thas has some mild oxidation on it. I am considering the #49- oxidation remover, #45-marine polish, and the #56-boat/rv wax, but I am unsure which pads to use. I plan to use my PC to the ease the pain. Is a white wool pad the one for the job? Should the oxidation remover be applied by hand and removed with the pc?

thanks for any suggestions that you may have!

    I have a 1993 FourWinns 200 Horizon and I use the #49, #03, #63

Last year I bought the heavy duty oxidation removal kit from Boaters World and I was not really impressed with the pure polish and the pure wax. Reason I was not impressed with it was because after a week of putting alot of time in cleaning it up, it was all oxidized again on the drivers side in the front. It could have been due to the sun and they way the sun angle is in the afternoon. Mid summer I used #3 and then #63 and the results were much better and did not seem to oxidize as fast. On the white part of the boats, this is where its a little tricky, because its hard to see the product, but after a few feet, you will get the hang of it!

#49 - W-8006, speed 5.. make sure you buff until the abrasives are completely broken down, but you have not gone to a dry buff, if you do not break it down you will see marring and swirls. Gel coats are HARD!!!

#03 or #45 - speed 5 - I use a W8006 because the 03 is not very abrasive so using the 03 with the polishing pad it give a little cut. I noticed on my boat that it did help with a few swirls I had remaining after the product.

#63 or #56 - W9006 - Speed 3- Work the wax in real well overlapping 50% and covering every square inch 2-3 times.

After that, remove with a microfiber.

ALSO, Since your boat is so new compared to mine which is a 1993 but is in excellent shape inside and out, have you seen the new marine products by Meguiars?? The canvas cleaner and canvas protectant are very good products! I was thinking about getting a new canvas for mine, but use those 2 products and looks and protects like brand new. Also there interior cleaners and protectors are great!

    Hope this helps!
