I wash mine 2-3 times a week (if there are enough nice days in the week) my neighbors think I am crazy! But there is someone down the street that has two cars he washes about as much.... it seems every time I am out washing my truck he is out washing both his cars.

Daily wipe down, covered unless I'm driving it or somewhere for more than 2 hours, washed and detailed inside and out once a week. But I'm definitely car crazy!!

I drove from Albany, Oregon to Irvine, California (950 miles), in my Daily Driver a 1966 Mild Truck with a 396 Big Block Chevy engine when I came to work for Meguiar's. (I don't remember how much gas I went through?) I haven't met too many people that owned and drove hotrodded Milk Trucks... does that make me Car Crazy?

While not a car, I purchased my Sanger V-drive Drag boat in 1981 and sold it in 2000. I spent 19 fond years of meticulously detailing it so that it always appeared show ready and I kept it race ready that entire time too...

Does that qualify as Car Crazy?

My neighbors everywhere I have lived have always known me as the guy who washes his cars almost daily.

I detailed a 1967 Pontiac Firebird for a guy that I have never met and he never knew I was going to detail it. Basically, he dropped it off at a friends repair shop for a new engine. The finish was completely oxidized to the point that you could not tell it was a metallic finish. I knew it could be saved but the owner would say, ”Oh… someday I’ll get it painted”, so after the shop closed, I stayed through the night massaging the original paint back to perfection. It came out great. After I finished I went home. Never seen or talked to the owner.

I’ve been meaning to add the list of cars I have owned to this thread,

          Post Your Car History

But I haven’t been able to take the time to remember them all, let alone write them down!

Actually, Mike, there's a restored (not rodded) milk truck around here, I've seen it at a show or two....

As for being car crazy....That exact line "car crazy" used to be my custom title on another forum-until I found out the relation to Meguiars and I changed it, didn't want anyone thinking there was a connection! We're (my husband and myself) are definatly car crazy, although not in the multi gazziolioner with the huge collection of million dollar cars kinda way, like they usually feature on the show (Car Crazy). We've got 2 stangs (2000 & 73-under construction), an 82 firebird (under construction), a 91 Ranger (my project, and the former dd), and a 93 Bronco (the current dd, but going to get new paint & rust repair soon-her 240,000 miles are showing!). We live for summer car shows-our vacation will be to the Woodward Dream Cruise, where we will renew our wedding vows-we'll have an "aisle" of Mustangs, and maybe even Mustang Sally or Still Cruisin as the wedding march! (www.woodwarddreamcruise.com for more info on the event). We are doing most of the work on the projects our selves (cant afford for others to do it-besides, whats the fun in that?!). I love spending hours detailing my car (the 2000)-it's fun to me. While I'm not too into the mechanical stuff, the paint & body work has my interest (cant wait to start sanding & priming & icing the frame for the ranger-making a 4x2 a 4x4 with a frame swap). I spend my lunch on car forums. Our spare room is full of car parts (including a full rear quarter for the 73!). Oh yeah, we're crazy, lol...Wouldnt have it any other way

I take my ride to the car wash every Saturday morning, Sunday monrings if the weather is inclement, and give the 3-4 hour work over...

...I wipe it down with Quik Detailer everyday before work and go through about 4 terry cloth towels, just so I have a clean towel for most major areas of the vehicle. I find myself washing terry cloth towels more frequently than I do my own clothing!

I also keep a bottle of QD and at least 3 clean towels in my car, I've been known to be spotted in a grocery store parking lot, removing excess dust or contaminants on the spot, and the store is only 1.3 miles from the house!

Some call it obsessive or otherwise, but we know it as "car crazy"

I'm slowly working on getting every minute defect out of the finish, I'm planning on taking the ride to the Riviera OWner's Convention next year....I have to have that car stand out amongst the other "Riv's".

                    carcrazy? of course

Yes i must agree, if the weather permits i wash/ dust my graphite colored jeep 2-3 times during the week. From being in the garage it gets a coat of annoying dust on it. My parents say im nuts for being out there all the time dusting and cleaning up the inside all the time. I enjoy it none the less. Nothing looks better than a well maintained clean and shiney car. Keep it up, looks do matter

Me too! Add me to the list of certifiables !

I just have to spend time in the parking lot dusting off my car when leaving work (and QDing it if necessary).
I mean, I just can't drive home with a dusty car! Sure, people think I'm a little crazy but they've grown use to it by now !!!

Then after dinner it's another session in the garage with the PC (whether it needs it or not!)

I;m car crazy - that's for sure. Almost everyday, I have to do something on it. I do my leather every week, vinyl. Wash weekly, wax once a month (every other week I give additional coat of wax to my hood, bumpers and fenders). My dad asked me once, why am I doing it so often, - and I told him , My car is my girlfriend ( since I don't have a girlfriend, I'm only 22 - he never asked me again). .......Does this makes me car crazy???Loving beautifully detailed cars more then girls?

With my car being black it needs alot of work to keep it looking it's best but is well worth it when i get the looks and thumbs up.
I find waxing very relaxing and a nice way to spend the day.
