Looks good! RB is right about the engine.... is it one of those all new plastic engines? no... only kidding. I use to have a 94 cutlass supreme the entire engine was cover with plastic, looked good (even better all shined up with some dressing) but a little more difficult to work on.

Which I'm betting is EXACTLY why they do it, too. They figure most shadetree mechanics will be scared away by all that plastic trim, and will just take it to the dealership for service. That equates to more work and money for them.
I'm with Bryan, what did you use on the engine bay?
I have a Pursuit, which is a Canadian tiwn of the Cobalt and I need to do the "under the hood" next time I wash my car.
I don't think (and hope this is so!) there is a part that's not made on the Cobalt these days that aren't made to go at least 100,000 miles. Infact, the powertrain warranty is extended now (with no deductible) to 60,000 miles or 5 years. So here's hoping I won't need to remove that plastic cover which I used Meguiar's Natural SHINE on. FYI, the battery is now "flush" in the trunk with the spare tire (Chevy says this is to keep heat from the battery, which in turn will extend its life), though there is a "jumper" battery conector under the hood.
....I will post I full report in Sept. of 2010 (!).....
Glad to see chevy finally started putting some side body moulding on something other than the Corvette to give the vehicle a lil bit pf presence! Looks fantastic!
Thanks! So far its been a great little car. Good looks, good power (for a four) and best of all, (after 1200 miles) I am getting over 37 MPG (not sure what that would convert to in Europe...Km per liters or ?).
DetailManiac, thanks for the info....Jerm, I love black (better) too, but these Indiana winters don't seem to like black (even with Meguiar's help!) as much as we do!
