  • Opel Tigra - first pc job

    Hi every one,

I did this detail somewhere a month ago for a friend, who's opel tigra really needed some work. It had lots of swirls and the black color really wasn't black anymore.
The car itself Isnt in perfect state, it has some bad spots and even some handsprayed places
But anyways it was nice to practice with the pc!

It was the first time I used my dewalt 443, it was quite a job, to get some satisfaction out of it.
    Products used:
    - nxt carwash
    - clay complete car
    - M83 with 7006 cutting pad
    - 2 thin coats of techwax

I did not have enough time to do the whole car with M80, that would have given better results.... I'll have something to do next time

Please forgive me that the pictures are a bit poor quality, I have a new camera now, so next ones will be better

    Hi Erik

From the pictures it looks like you're off to a great start. This is a pretty cool looking car too.

Be careful using our cutting pad to apply products onto paint as it's fairly aggressive and in most cases it will leave the finish looking haze.

Thanks for the kind words mike!
MOL is so wunderfull to learn lots of stuff about detailing, and sharing experiences!

I do know that de cutting pad is fairly aggresive, but the paint on this car was very hard. I had to do every section around 3 times befor I got somewhere. I worked the dewalt on setting 2.5 (This is around 5 on the G-100 I suppose).

Mike, do you have any picture of a detailed car which has this haze on the finish after using the cutting pad? I don't exactly know how that should look..

      Thanks Erik
