Hello All,
I'm new to the site and just wanted to say hello. I have been using Meg's products for several years now and love them! I will never go with anything else. I currently drive a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 that is black. I do detailing on the side, or inbetween working full time and school full time. I really love detailing as I find it relaxing. Most people hate to do it and wonder why I volunteer to do theirs. My slogan is Wax On! A car isn't a car without a great coat of wax!
Anyway, I like to keep up on my car, but have a new difficult project that I am starting this weekend. This 1996 Lincoln Town Car has been sitting under a sappy tree, undriven and unwashed for almost 2 years! I will post some before and afters in the upcoming week. My intentions for this car are as follows:
-Wash with Gold Class
-Clay Bar
-Diamond Cut 2.0 or good old #9
-Coat of #7
-Coat of #26
Maybe follow up with
-Gold Class Wax
-Interior carpet cleaner
-Gold Class Rich Leather Spray
-Gold Class Cleaning and Protectant Wipes
-Hot Wheels Cleaner
-Gold Class Endurance tire shine
If anyone has any suggestions I'm definitely open to them. I know a few tricks, but I'm always looking to learn new ones. The car needs work inside and out. The inside has cobb webs inside. The huntergreen paint has lost its luster and is pretty swirled. There is quite a bit of chrome on the bumpers and trim, but I've got that covered. I'm planning to use my buffer, as this job by hand just wouldn't cut it. I think this car needs a lot of love. My father in law bought as an everyday driving car. He drives a long way on the freeway and is starting rack up mile on his nicer ride.
I'll keep you all updated! I do a few cars a week so I should be able to post a few a month. We'll see. Living in the Cleveland area my detailing sure takes a hit in the winter months. But I still wash my car in the winter! Damn that salt!
It's good to be here and keep on waxin'!
