      Another egg...

Hey !!! I have a similar problem: somebody (*&$%^^&#$%^ - those were my gratulations for him) throwed an egg on my car. I have observed this problem after more than 24 hours. During this period, my car was parked in sun, so the egg became solid from the sun. (sorry if i'm not precisely, but i don't speak english perfect - i'm from Romania). The paint is now distroyed because the substances from the egg made some chemical reaction with my car's paint. What am i gonna do now ?
      Have a nice day !!!

I would clay the area, then follow up with a cleaner/polish applied by a buffer. If that does not get the job done you may need to repaint. You will not get rid of the marks from where the egg hit as is shown in my pictures, but you should be able to greatly improve how it looks.

I was egged on Monday night, and they got my brother's car too. I need to deliver his car to him, but I've been waiting until I clean it up, now I have more to clean. My daily driver was hit too, but it was just the rear window, with some splatter on the paint. His was hit on the roof and between the front and rear doors, and the black trim has the same marks.

Sorry to hear about that. It is a shame that some people have no respect.

You did a nice job on that car, Bob!

It makes me so mad to hear about people who would egg cars. That's so rotten that people have so little respect for other people's property that they would do something like that.

Reminds me of a guy who lives at the end of my friend's lane. He seems to think he owns the lane, and he always used to shout at us for going to fast. When that didn't work very well, he put a 2x4 in front of my friend's truck. When that didn't work (my friend drove over it), he started putting nails, yes NAILS (roofing nails with the wide, flat head so that they would stand up), in the lane. My sister had to replace four tires because of that jerk, and my other sister had to replace one.

Later in life as I matured I realized that a better reason for not doing things like that was because it was destructive, juvenile behavior lacking in respect for the things that other people had worked so hard to obtain.

Anymore people don't (or aren't allowed) to properly discipline their children, so the former reason for not being a twit isn't in place to tide them over until the latter reason occurs to them.

My kids know they better not ever do anything like that. But in my neck of the woods, we still put the fear of God in them from an early age.
