Drip mark on Z3
My garage roof leaked a 10 inch drip of something right onto the middle of the hood of my previously flawless Alpine White Z3. I cleaned it off, but when viewed at the right angle under the fluorescent light, I can still see the outline of the drip mark. I have worked Deep Crystal Cleaner by hand for about two minutes at a time into it over ten times. The surface feels smoother than glass, but the mark won't go away. Will this method work? Will I need to try something else, such as a dual-action buffer?

Whatever dripped on your hood sounds like it etched the finish. You will most likely have the best results with scatchx if you are applying by hand. Mike did a nice write-up about the correct use; should be in the how-to forum. After you use scatchx be sure to reapply whatever LSP you had on your vehicle's finish.Comment
