  • First Paid Detailing, Kia Sportage

After I did my friend's black Audi A4, his brother really likes the look and wanted me to detail his brand new Kia Sportage, 1 week old. When I first saw the car, I am wondering can I make the car looks better since the paint work is already in quite a good condition. As the saying goes, you wouldn't know until you try, so I proceed as below,

    GC wash
#80 & W8006 pad with DA (to improve the shine and wet look)
    #21 by hand

After I buff off #21, I am surprised to see the car looks wet and shiny, the paint has more depth too. What's more encouraging is when my friend's brother came to collect the car, he too is very surprised and happy to see the improvement on the car.

        Good Job!

It's easy to show a dramatic difference between before and after when a finish is older and have been neglected. It's more difficult to take a new finish and improve it.

Thanks guys for all the encoraging words. This is really a challenging job, like what you guys said, making a new car looks better than new . I am really impressed by #21 by how it improves the shine and depth of the car, really great stuff and I will recommand anyone to give it a try .

Gen2, do you carry on your detailing job in the apartment carpark?

Hi Zey, thanks for your compliment. No I did not do my detailing at the carpark you saw in the photo. I did the detailing at my friend's condo basement carpark, no direct sunlight but bright enough to do the work. After the detailing, I drove the car out to the open carpark to take photo under the sun.
