I finished My First Major Detailing Today on my 1997 Chev truck, Which was done entirely by my to hands (Thanks to everybody who answer'd my questions I polute'd the forum with) Which is a Daily driver. And is outside 365 days a year in all the 4 Canadian Seasons. I started out doing.
1. Washing with NXT Generation Deep Crystal Car Wash.
2. Dry with Chamois.
3. Clayed with Quik Clay System.
4. Applied Scratch X To the worse of the scratchs.
5. Applied Colour X To the entire Truck
6. Applied NXT Generation Paste Wax
I have Before and After pictures. So bare with me if I mess this up.
This is a Picture of about 2 weeks of Not being washed and driven to the worksite. ( Don't Scream )
This is a Picture 6 hours later after eveything is said and done, Much better isn't it???
Scratchs and a large Scuff On the hood "Before"
Hood " After "
A Nice Coat of NXT Paste to the hood
Some Scratchs on the box fender " Before "
Box Fender " After "
Here's a Nice Reflection shot
Some Bad scratchs on the TailGate " Before "
TailGate Afterwards
Finally, The tools it took for the Job,
So what does everybody think? Please let me know ppl. Not as good as I could do with a machine, But not to bad by hand is it? There was a LOT of other scratchs all over the truck like the ones in the picture's Lots came out, The really bad ones are still there, But not as noticable. Give me your feedback everybody, I would like ti know what you think
And one question, Is there a more aggressive Clay then whats in the Quik Detail system?
