  • Co-workers car meguiarfied.

I just worked on my co-workers 1997 Nissan Sentra. This car had never been washed carefully to avoid those horrible swirl marks. My co-woker told me he used the same towel to wash the wheels as he did the car This led to some serious swirl marks. Not only was his car washing careless but the word 'waxing' didn't exist in his vocabulary. I began attacking the swirls by applying ScratchX to the entire car, then following with ColorX to bring his color more life. I then applied GC liquid wax.

As you can see this is what is left behind after incorrect washing and drying. The entire car had these swirls on it.

While I waited for the wax to dry I decided to do a very quick cleaning of the engine, this was a fly-by and I didn't take my time as I was dead tired from ScratchX 'ing the entire vehicle.

I couldn't take more pictures, my camera ran out of juice. I must say SratchX is by far the BEST product to use to remove light swirls and other blemishes. I had never used ScratchX on a vehicle that was littered with swirls such as this, I mainly used it on my car to remove light scratches. I never really learned to appreciate it since I had never used it on such a grand scale as I did with this Sentra. It removed about 90% of the swirls and isolated scratches, the others that it didn't remove were to deep and I plan on attacking them next weekend. I will post more pictures by next week of the FINAL results. I'm really happy with these results seeing as I did it all by hand, but it could be better with machine application.
