Looks awesome! Those are sweet cars; they're pretty fast and the motors are tough as heck (my olds 88 has the 3.8 (w/o s.c.) with 168k and still screams!)

    So, what did you use???

            Here goes,

I washed with Meguiars Gold Class, left it wet and pulled it in the garage where I used Meguiars Mild Detailing Clay and Last Touch 1:1 as my lubricant and dried with a microfiber towel.

I noticed some fine scratches/swirls in the paint, so I broke out the rotary with a 8006 polishing pad and #81. I am getting pretty comfortable using the rotary now and am confident with it as it produces great results. It made the finish really look like new again.

I then applied NXT Tech wax with the PC set on 3 with a 9006 finishing pad and removed it by hand with a microfiber towel. I also waxed the wheels with NXT Tech wax and used NXT Insane Tire Shine on the Tires.

The next morning, I couldn't stop the urge to top it with #26 and the PC set on 3 with a 9006 finishing pad. and removed it by hand. That's what gave me my results...

Thanks everyone for the kind words

P.S. Last night I was at a buddy's house looking at some golf clubs and had no choice but to park it under a tree in his driveway. 30 minutes later, the birds dropped several bombs on it, my buddy not knowing walked over with a bottle of soapy water that he uses to put on golf grips with to loosen it up, when I saw it, my eyes buldged out... Being nice, I didn't say anything, but when I was driving home, I was fortune enough to drive into a big time rain storm that pretty much cleaned most of it off. Once I hit the garage at home, broke out the Final Inspection and it was as good as new again in minutes.

correction, I just read my steps over, I polished it with a rotary using #82, not #81, the hand polish, then I waxed it.

Great job on an awesome detail. I too have a black car, and you gotta love the look when you just finish detailing it. I however, can only wish that it I could enjoy the waxed look longer than a couple of hours before the next band of rain storms pass by here in south florida. Excellent job and great combo with #82, NXT, #26. Looks great.

Looks like a chrome reflection in some places.

Black doesn't look much better than that.

I noticed that you used #82. Do you like it better than #80?
