  • Little Neon get's a cleaning.

(The webpage <-- all pictures .. I'm just going to put a couple here so the thread will load quicker)

I'm nearly psychotic when it comes to taking care of the paint on my Firebird.... the only problem is that my daily driver tends to get a little neglected because I physically can't keep up on both cars. Well, after going over the Firebird yesterday, I came home and parked it next to my daily driver and suddenly felt really, really bad. The poor little car didn't even have a gloss to it.

    So, I present - "Da Skittle get's a cleaning"

    Introducing the victim.
"Skittle" is a 2000 Dodge Neon ... ES.... my daily driver which is occationally abandoned at the shop.
In the pictures here. Skittles has been washed with NXT car wash. Before wash pictures are not being released... because I just don't think they're presentable.

Toys for the day will be NXT Wash, Deep Crystal 1 & 2 .. and NXT Wax. All materials are being applied by hand.

    Da Skittle...

Shade has been outlawed recently... so this is the best I could do for cover... Let me set the stage. It's 179.5 degrees in the shade.. there is no shade.. AND it's humid ... but I digress.

Sun spot shots.... to sum things up.

    In the beginning.

After Deep Crystal Cleaner (step 1)

After Deep Crystal Polish (step 2)

After a coat of NXT wax

    Two shiney cars.

Even in the sun everything still worked out well. My next purchase is probably going to be an EZ up tent ... wide range of uses there.

Given time, better conditions, and energy, I'd really like to hit the little car with a clay bar... but I'll probably save that time for the Firebird.

    This concludes my presentation.
