  • NXT x2 + Booster at one week

Like I posted last week I got a chance to Color-X & NXT the Screaming Banana. I just finished a quick wash and an application of the Booster and here are the results: (Not too shabby for a 76,000+ mile car)

This is the top of the right front fender, the 'sparkles' in this last pic are pits from being "sandblasted" for over 76,000 miles.

Looking great! Have you ever tried the Booster Wax after washing but before drying? It would be great if someone would perfect the technique for doing that.

Most other wax 'n' dry products (like Eagle One and Griot's) call for wiping them off immediately after application. I wonder if the Spray Booster Wax can be applied and removed the same way on a wet surface?

Nope, Mike's said that a little bit of water shouldn't hurt, but THAT much water worries me

OK I couldn't help myself. I got a look at the trunklid and a few other areas at a different angle and saw swirls.

The car is now back in the garage, and the rotary & PC have been taken off the shelf.

Not sure if I have perfected the technique, but I prefer to use this method. It saves a step, and more importantly time. I just make sure that I dab potential areas that pool water first with an abosorber or microfiber drying towel. Areas such as around gas filler doors, under mirrors, etc. Basically the usual problem areas that will hold water, drip and run. My process is to spritz the booster on a microfiber towel and begin wiping. As the towel becomes damp from the remaining water droplets, it spreads like a dream. A little product goes a long ways. By the time you get around the vehicle, it's ready to be wiped off with a fresh MF towel. It wipes off just as easy as it applied.

I've come to love the Spray Wax as well. I just spray it on a MF sponge with about 2 to 3 shots per panel. Wipe in long, overlapping strokes back and forth. I can do my car in about 10 minutes, put everything away, and then grab the MF and buff it out.

            Awesome stuff

I am still trying to get the hang of the Booster Wax.... I have only used it a couple time and never really liked it. Now that I am on to summer and won't have much time to wax my truck the next couple months I may give NXT booster wax another try soon.

I tried the booster wax last night after washing my car and before drying it. Bascially I ran the hose without the nozel to stream away most of the water, then I took a Gold Class even coat applicator and sprayed the NXT booster wax on it and went over my black Grand Prix. I did the entire car this way and went back and dried it and buffed it out with a couple of Microfiber towels. I like this as it saves me a step and it looked very nice when finished.
