Well as they say, one thing always leads to another. Not long after I fully detailed my co-workers 2021 GMC Sierra AT4, one of my other cohorts came forward with his own detailing request.
Having just traded in his 2020 Jetta GLI, my boy Abner wanted his brand new 2021 VW Arteon SEL R-Line all freshened up (telling me he doesn't trust a dealership detail team to do a sufficient job). His specific request was he wanted the full Hybrid Ceramic treatment. He had seen how well it had worked on other vehicles and now, he wanted the same result on his new baby. Now this was before the new Hybrid Ceramic Paint Prep was launched so I was forced to simply go after any minor factory defects in the usual manner.
By far this was one of the more intricate details I've done as the Arteon (replacement for the VW CC) has some VERY complex lines in the body work (especially the grille). Knowing this, I was sure to keep my eye out for any hidden enemies such as hidden debris that could scour the paint. So with that in mind, I dedicated at least 5-6 hours on this new car prep and freshen up!
Process:
Exterior:
Wheels/ Tires: Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner; dressed w/ Hyper Dressing
Wheel Wells: APC and Wheel Brush; dressed w/ Hyper Dressing
Wash: Gold Class Shampoo/ Conditioner (2 Buckets)
Clayed w/ Smooth Surface Clay Kit
Polished w/ Ultimate Polish
Finished w/ 2 coats of Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax
Interior:
Full Vacuum
Everything wiped down w/ Quik Interior Detailer (Matte Finish)
Again for privacy reasons, I didn't get any shots of the interior as the outside was my main priority anyways. So without further ado, it's time to feast your eyes on this Pure Gray grand tourer!
