It's not very dirty but it's not ultra clean. I'll be doing some cleaning of the engine area for sure. I'm not into the "eat off it" clean for engines, though. That's too much trouble if you drive it.

Notice anything odd about the car in that picture?

Gatorback tires! I haven't seen those in YEARS!

BTW, car looks GREAT. I grew up in Bloomington, IL, where the "Bloomington Gold" Corvette show was held every year. Lemme tell ya, July 1st, 1988. They had all of the Stingrays with L88's in them start at exactly 12-noon. The earthquake that ensued was a harmonious rhapsody of 454 cubic inches of leaded gas and side pipes. 7 years old, and I will NEVER forget that memory.

(For what it's worth, my dad and I would go to the Bloomington Gold show EVERY year... one day, I WILL have a Tuxedo Black '57.)

Heheh, those are Goodyear Eagle GS-C's, not Gatorbacks. And that's what's wrong with the picture, the tires are mounted on the wrong sides... I'll be swapping them out soon anyways as the rears are 8 years old.

That must have been sweet hearing all those L88's! However, they are 427s, not 454s. Bloomington Gold must be a great show to go to. Luckily I'm only a couple hours from Carlisle which also puts on a big Corvette show.

You are right sir... they are 427's.

Got confus0red with the '70 Chevelle LS6... THAT was a 454.... and oh how mean it was.

And I don't know if they still have the Bloomington Gold anymore... they moved it to Springfield, IL for a few years, then moved back to Bloomington, and I haven't lived there for about 4 years, so I can't remember if they still have it or not.
