2010 cat scratched Black CRV

Worked on my sister's CRV today, not my ideal way to spend a Saturday, but I love her.
Cat lovers shouldn't own black cars. She also had a bra on the front I convinced her to say byby


First pics are after washing twice and claying. I used Meguiars M101,Ultimate compound and M205 for abrading.
Finished with Collinite845 on everything(including the plastic cladding) except rubber which was Turtle wax Black endura shine coating.
A lot better than before but still only about 80%.

That paint has seen better days. Looks good. Any reason why you just did not one step it with a cleaner wax like white wax instead of a full correction? I don't know how well your sister takes care of it but that is another option especially if it goes through the swirl o matic car washes.

Well Mike, after the first set of passes using M101 on a blue hybrid with my Flex set to 6, I wish I would have bought some orange hybrids.
After 3 sets of roughly six passes I made a dent(with firm pressure) that's when I said the M205 will get rid of the haze. That's where I left it.
The hood was a complete disaster with the cat marks and rub lines from the bra, I don't think anything else would have been effective.

Believe me, I had been thinking about your recommendation about a one step prior to this. But in retrospect it wouldn't have given me the results I was after.

My mom thought it was phenomenal. My other sister said it looked way darker and a lot more black.
You are right about the swirlomatic and the cute kitty thing. I am hoping this makes a little light go off for her.
