  • Before and After: UC and UP

Did a few test panels with Ultimate Compound and Polish. Results were pretty good for the price and being an OTC product.
    Tools:
    Rupes 15
    LC Pads
    Meguiars UC and UP
Ignore the factory orange peel... Nervous to try that!

Looks like pretty darn terrific work all around!!

Just a little side note/observation: We're kind of waiting for the day when people stop qualifying their comments about UC and UP as being "pretty good for an OTC product". They are directly derived from M105 and M205, two of the most highly regarded liquids among elite professional detailers with years of experience doing extreme high end work. Just because something is sold at your local auto parts store doesn't automatically make it a blah product. It looks like you've just discovered this, given the results of your test panels. So know you know what happens when a company with decades of experience in the OEM and Professional world makes a compound for general consumption. It rocks!!!

I'm an amateur and just use Meguiars UC, UP, ULW, M16 and UWWA for my private cars ... from this view that is the point: it rocks!
I also understand the professionals in this forum - they make their money with the work and not everywhere products. As a professional I would also not love to see that everyone can use these products like me who has to make money with the work. But two points: I think these are different target groups and one thing is shure - very, very much depends on the work and technique. I wash and wax my cars regularly and use UC, UP and ULW or M16 two times a year on each car - so the work is still easy, because they are in a general good condition. I really enjoy the possibility of the experience of Meguiars products that are the result of a long way of development in the amateur area.

        Meguiar's Ultimate line rocks !!!
It's extremely user friendly as well.

Mirror Glaze products allow rotary polisher application and further increased cut to keep everybody happy.
