  • 2004 Cadillac CTS

I was able to give this 11yr old Caddy some long overdue proper TLC.. I've never been much of a fan of silver colored cars until I saw this 1 reach it's intended potential

1st up, these notorious 1st gen CTS headlights...

    After:

D300 w/DMX5 was a perfect match for this hard paint. This car's never looked this nice

Wheels & tires are 1 of my favorite parts of the detail

D300 followed by M205 on a Megs foam finishing disc restored the true luxurious gloss in this Cadillac.
    Loved the results.

My cat's exhausted after a long day of watching me polish. Lol. Happy detailing.

Great job Elodo. Headlights turned out awesome. Man, the cat looks just wore out.

        Nice job!

Must be hard being a cat and having to watch people move about so much. Very tiring!

          Very nice!

The wheels and tires look brand new!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

            Thanks!

Btw, those barrels are painted black from the factory. Just in case you were wondering why they aren't shining. Lol.

              Awesome work, Ric!!

As for this, it's simply fantastic! Gave me a great laugh, which I really needed today, so thanks for that!

                Haha. Yea!
It's too bad they don't make pet collars with the Meguiars logo on them. My cat would look pretty cool in 1. Lol.

Nice job on the CTS. Especially on those headlights.

                      Thx Guz

@Mohit. No. I'm using D300 Microfiber Correction Compound w/Megs 5" Microfiber Cutting Discs. Followed up with M205 on Megs 5" Foam Finishing Disc.

I used the new Megs Headlight Kit.. However, I must say that picture was taken just moments after step 2 [I don't recall if it was after the 1st or 2nd coat]

But when I got a chance to look at them a day later I noticed they wern't quite as magnificent as that moment they're 1st sprayed down.. But considering the condition they were in, and how big of a PITA those 1st gen CTS headlights are to restore it's still not too bad. Plus this is my brothers car so it comes free of charge.

Here's pictures of the headlights to show how they looked from start to finish.

                          Original condition:

                          Moments after step 2:

The next morning: See how it lost a bit?

I tried to get the same angle but it was later in the day.
