  • 1960 Red/White Corvette light polish

This is how the car was when I showed up, already tapped & covered up. Wasn't really swirled bad but bad enough to be a frame off restore that hardly had any miles on. The Restoration shop was running behind and wanted me 2 help get a couple of the cars that was ready for delivery to be polished out and in top shape for their clients. So I gladly took the job to get to work on such awesome American Muscle.

Sorry I didn't get alot of pictures of before but had 2 days to get this vette polished out, a 55' chevy polished and coated and 3 complete carpets out of a couple very nice vettes and a rare 66 chevy, that had to be extracted from a flood they were caught in. Thanks Jason Rose for your help!! Greatly Apreciated!

Even though it looks pretty good, it felt rough so I used some fine clay and as I thought.

D114 Rinseless wash, clayed and ready for some M205/ Polishing pads and Flex 3401 on this one didn't have time so had to get it done and quick!

Up close to show condition and my test spot on the right.

All Polished up, Speed 6/ M205 / 3 section passes. Then followed up same combo but speed 4/ light pressure 2 section passes

Everthing was the same technique and process, just showing after pictures, sorry had to get started on the 55' and have finished before 11:00 PM

Thanks for looking and sorry I didn't have the time for more before pics, Talking about being rushed on production work and more or less a hit and miss that goes with production work. I had 2 very awesome cars and 3 set of carpet that had to be done in 2 days. Had about 14 hours each day and needed and would have liked to have had and extra day but I think I done the best I could under the conditions and they looked better after I got finished so all was good.

    Thanks for looking!

Very nice work on that beautiful Vette!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Great work on one of my favourite styles of Corvette!

Excellent time management skills getting all that work done in a short time frame too!

I'll tell you Select it was just dumb luck! But Did have a little help on the 55' (which I'm going to post up when I get time) for applying the first application of coating. (I applied and he did the 3 towel wipe off's) and Jason Rose was a big help explaining how to go about extracting this costly carpet so I didn't set the stain or do any damage.

Thanks guys for the kind words, I appreciate it!

That red paint looks incredible - deep and wet - after you worked your magic on it. Pretty amazing what M205 can do when worked with a bit of punch behind it, isn't it?

Thanks buddy appreciate it! But I've learned alot from you guys over several years and Practice, Testing, and more Practice!! And to be honest, It has taking me a couple years to perfect my use with M205 where I can almost call it my go to for 75% of the paint I work on with different machines/ pads/ and techniques.

Still love and miss M80 Speed Glaze but really starting to call M205 my new 80! By the way M100, followed by M205 and 2) thin coats of M26 is just stunning!!!!

Thanks again guys really appreciate all the comments, means alot!!
