As brought in, looks great but does have some oxidized paint that needs removed to make look as good as new again plus some fine swirls & scratches that needs attention.

After D114 Rinse Free wash on paint & Soft Top protected with 2 applications of cloth/canvas top silicone free protectant with UV blockers.
Interior covered and all trim and moldings taped.
Doing a test spot to see what least aggressive products ,pads and technique will be needed to remove the oxidized paint and light swirls and scratches. Finger for description to show up close of a before and after with the light swirls and scratches removed to bring back a nice glossy, shiny red Single Stage red paint.
Pads I used and product to start my test spot to dial in my technique. Started with the micro fiber finishing disk and it was to aggressive for this soft paint, left DA haze so I switched to a light foam green polishing pad and slower speed and pressure. Got a great gloss and richer deeper finish with amazing reflection! Did switch over to M205 to have a little more cut and cleaning.
Test spot area with high powered LED's to show condition of paint after 2 section passes. Not going after a swirl free finish on this one just remove light swirls and smoothing up the paint for more gloss and bringing back the shine!
Up close before picture with LED's showing condition of Single Stage paint and all the light swirls and scratches.
After 2 applications of M205 with 4 section passes each to remove light swirls & scratches and to bring back a nice rich glossy appearance.
Lighting with the High Powered LED's working on the driver side fender.
After polishing and getting ready to chemically strip paint down for GTechniq.
Finished, applied 2 applications of GTechniq coatings and this Red Single Stage Paint has amazing gloss, richness, clarity and has that dripping wet look!
Interior cleaned and protected as well with GTechniq on leather seats, panels and dash.
Just 21,641 miles on this awesome 1986 Mercedes that was a blast to get to polish and coat and bring back to a SEXY RED FINISH!!!
This is another great low mileage car from my Client that owns both Cadillac's I posted up recently. Really enjoyed polishing on this Single Stage paint and bringing it back to this great wet looking sexy red paint! Thanks for looking and I hope you like as much as I did polishing it out!
