  • New Promo Video - feedback appreciated!

So after hours and hours...and hours, of piecing together TONS of clips ive done over the past couple years of different cars we've done and us in action, i finally jammed it all into a 2:30 video! I think this is my best video by far and hoping you all have a couple extra minutes to spare to take a look and share your thoughts.

It can be viewed on YouTube in HD here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Cy_...ature=youtu.be

Its also posted to our facebook business page: facebook.com/windowsandwheels

We often post pics and vids of current projects on our facebook page as well for those of you who may want to follow us and see what we're getting into .

    Thanks all for the support!

Re: New Promo Video - feedback appreciated!

I am a couple year rookie and always check out your projects for inspiration.
There is something about the flash screens in the beginning that distract me from the cars.
I like to do the reading first then watch the show without distractions. But that's me.

Nice Vid, maybe watermark it, in a top corner with your logo.

What product was used in the sheeting segment from 2:13?

I considered a watermark but if someone wants to steal it that bad they will lol. I didnt want a watermark to be a distraction from the cars/video. I was back and fourth about what to use for the writing, i wanted it to be seen and read since i was doing no talking on the video, but like you i watched it several times and sometimes i read and other times i just ignored it lol. Im no pro video maker, just did the best i could with imovie and some patience...i appreciate the feedback though Thanks!

Also, it was CQuartz Finest that was on the paint for the sheeting and the pressure washing portions of the video

Nicely done, enjoyable and maintains interest clear to the end.

Personally not a fan of the text and shading popping in from the left, along bottom is okay. Shading covers up your work too much.
The orange text at the end seems out of place compared to all the other white text. Perhaps required by vendor?

Very well done, shows your skills and experience both with videos and automotive detailing.

Oh also...nice choice of music and excellent timing with video.

It's fantastic. I like how you both appear to handle tasks with a gentle touch on the video.. i.e when she's washing the inner barrel of the rim with a soft mitt.

People like to know their nice cars are in the hands of people who take pride in what they do and have quality results to show it. You 2 take alot of pride in what you do. It shows.

looks great! The skill and attention to detail that you and your sister exhibit is inspiring. I always look forward to your write-ups. Here's a "tongue-in-cheek" suggestion for the video... lead-in with a clip from the cartoon... "Wonder-twins power... ACTIVATE!" ok... you may not be twins... but ya both got skills... and its great to see you both working together.

The video looks great and gives the impression of great work being done by people that will treat your car with the utmost care in the process.

That's exactly what it needs to say. Job well done I say!

Knowing Wills and Dani this sounds like it would fit their personalities perfectly. Might not be the look they want to promote their business, but it's still a fun idea!

Thank you . The orange text for the CQuartz part was just a part of that photo they had made up, so there was nothing i could do to change it, just kinda ended up that way. If i had a better movie editor im sure i could have done more with the words to make it less invasive, but imovie is a little limited

I think at that part she was actually removing polish from the inner barrel And we definitely try to treat each car as if it were our own we were working on. Thank you too for the support

Man i cracked up when i read that! The main reason, Dani and i have on many occasions done exactly that on the job! "Wonder-twins power....ACTIVATE! Form of a detailer!" So as Michael said, it does fit our personalities perfectly lol. Thats pretty funny of all things you could have said, you said that

no worries... I can see where it might be somewhat inappropriate when you're trying to grow a business. It might play well to some crowds... not so much to others. SOME people might assume that, just because of your age, you're inexperienced & lack sufficient work ethic (all evidence to the contrary). I've never understood that. Judge someone on their abilities... not their age. As a former boss once said: "sometimes, they just need a little gray hair around..." It *****, but it's mostly true... and I experienced for years after I got out of college. Now, I've GOT that gray hair (dammit)... so the shoe's on the other foot. I've always thought it best to ENCOURAGE young talent. From what I've seen... y'all could take your business as far as you want, should you choose to do so. It seems you get a fair amount of business by referral, so you could probably get away with injecting some humor into the equation. Digitally speaking, you could target different crowds with your videos just by where you place them... but you probably know this already. Just keep up the good work. If YOU detail it... they will come!
